The game has been developed by Epic games, who recently revealed that Chapter 2 Season 2 will become available on February 20th. It is sets to be a very fascinating change for Fortnite and could play an impact on its future success.

Fortnite has continued to advance and is now available for players on Windows, macOS, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and iOS and Android devices. This has led to further growth in the game and continued its rise in popularity.

The game now has three different modes, which are Save the World, Battle Royale and Creative.

Fornite: Save the World

Save the world covers up to four players working on different missions and objectives. It is based on Earth that has been destroyed and only 2% of the population remain. Save the world became available to players in July of 2017 and was successful from the off.

Fornite: Battle Royale

The release of Battle Royale is when Fortnite really took off and became a major success. This was a player v player concept with up to 100 players taking part in each game. The options also include playing on your own or in doubles or a squad. The game starts by players being dropped into the game from a battle bus and they must then cover the game’s map looking for weapons and eliminating other players. The maps then shrinks over time, so it means players must engage in the battle. Battle Royal was a major success and already had over 10 million players within two weeks of it being released. This has only continued with it also becoming available across the numerous extra platforms such as Nintendo Switch or iOS and Android devices.

Fortnite: Creative

Creative was then released and is similar to the hugely popular game called Minecraft. Players create what they wish on the island, while also taking part in challenges and battles. This mode became available in December of 2018.
