Tales From Candlefort, the folk horror point-and-click puzzle game by independent horror studio Under the Bed Games (@underthebedgms) is now available for Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PlayStation 4|5, Nintendo Switch and PC. Solve puzzles and engage with escape room mechanics to uncover the secrets of the protagonist Sarah's family and discover the part she plays in all of it!
Featuring entirely hand-drawn and animated 2D aesthetics, Tales from Candleforth is a folk horror, point-and-click puzzle game with escape room mechanics and immersive storytelling. As Sarah searches for her missing grandmother, she comes into contact with powers possessed only by the women in her family, embarking on a journey of occultism, mystery, and terror to uncover the secrets hidden within her family roots.
The tale is about to begin...
In this first tale, we'll meet Sarah, a 16-year-old girl left alone to run the family apothecary. Sarah's grandmother went missing a while ago, but one day, she finds clues that she might still be alive. As Sarah discovers new powers that only the women in her family can inherit, she adventures into a world of occultism, mystery, and horror to uncover the secrets her family is hiding and discover the part she plays in all of it.
Under the umbrella of publisher Feardemic, this first project from Under the Bed Games studio has had an amazing reception at gaming events, being part of the 10th anniversary selection at the Day of the Devs and won several awards such as 'Best Puzzle Game' at IndieDevDay 2023, 'Best Art' at Gamepolis 2022 or 'Game of the Year' at Indie Games Málaga 2023.
